An interactive video program, audiences can see the world from the perspective of a guide dog.

Through interaction with the video, users can control the behavior of guide dog- Emily to experience different plot. Aims to let users have empathy for guide dog- the special citizens who live with us.

Guide Dog Discrimination

According to new survey, guide dog discrimination is common. Because of their assistance animal,they are denied access to businesses and public places. New data revealed by Guide Dogs Victoria on April 2019. Showed one in two handlers across the country have experienced rejection in the past two years, with some reporting being turned away on 10 occasions. The survey, conducted across Australia in March, involved responses from 127 guide dog handlers.

The results reveal the pubilc have a lack of knowledge of the rights of access for assistance dogs though the laws vary worldwide providing for them.

Storyboard

My inspiration from Interactive movie games to make an interactive flim with live-action scenes about guide dog. Use a guide dog view to experience the daily life which can let the public known more about this special job.

Shooting in Qing Dao City, which is a modern city with a relatively high level of accessible environment. 
I use Premiere to edit all videos.Select videos from 300 files and clip them into several fragments according to different stories...
Then add Sound Effect and dub and adjust saturability,color and video transitions like: Cross Dissolve, Dip to Black, Addivtive Dissolve. At last, creat Interactive Buttons and gestures. Effectuated the interactions through the function of “interactive image” in the creator platform of Bilibili...

Guide dogs play an important role in visually life, impaired people's life. So I hope this interactive video can make people think and care more about this.Due to the Training Center's policy of protecting guide dogs, I found a labrador of the same breed to replace photographing a real guide dog.

Effectuated the interactions through the creator platform of Bilibili. Although this simple prototype was not perfect, I shared my thoughts with more people. To my delight, after introducing this program to the CHINA GUIDE DOG TRAINING CENTRE, they had great interest and offer me a lot of help. I’m quite sure all these small efforts can create a better society together.
